Erwin Hymer North America invited their German partners of the transatlantic R&D project "Utility Car", acp-advanced clean production, pohltec metalfoam, KVT-Fastening as well as the research partners Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR) and University of Waterloo, to their facility in Cambridge, Ontario on March 22, 2018.
Besides a first get-to-know, the cooperation partners prepared the project start for autumn 2018. From then on, both sides of the atlantic will research and develop solutions for joining techniques of sandwich and hybrid structures for utility vehicles using lightweight design and benefit from complementary competencies.
